The Nintendo Labo VR updates for Super Mario Odyssey and Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Nintendo Switch also improves general loading times as well as the performance of content streaming/loading (less intermittent stutter when traveling insanely fast across the overworld in Breath of the Wild for example).

This means that the Switch version of BotW is now the best version in all respects and Super Mario Odyssey is now straight up better than what it was.
That's good. Because by all accounts the VR portion is awful. Mario's is tiny and soulless, Zelda's is poorly done and makes even the strongest stomachs roll.

Also: the "electric hair" stuff. Since when Sonic is freakin' Flash, eh Hollyboners!?!?!?!?

Would you believe he picked up an electric shield after trashing some Macs?

Yeah, I wouldn't either.

But in all fairness to Sega, the licensor typically has little control over what is done after Hollywood licenses a property for adaptation. Sometimes it works out well, but usually it runs through the meat grinder and comes out an insult to the source.

It's the Mario move all over again...

...but this time they raised the bar. And by "raised", I mean "shot it with a bazooka".

Honestly, it reminds me more of the Inspector Gadget movie.

"It is like the Mario and Inspector Gadget movies had a thalidomide baby. "

But at least I gotta admit that among all this raging dumpsterfire, the only good part of the trailer is the Paramount logo effect with the Sonic rings replacing the stars.
That part was, in fact, fantastic, and I wish that the entire movie had been struck by the love of Sonic that infected that logo.

And now for something completely different: a video about A ROBOT TOASTER and why your modern computer-controlled digital toaster is a piece of shit before the might of 1950s engineering.

The toaster insulation may be asbestos, and he may be getting mesothelioma.
Only if he's breathing a bunch of it. Asbestos doesn't automatically give you lung cancer if you touch it. Just because he touched an insulated wire once or twice doesn't mean he is now marked by the reaper.
It is predominantly a risk for people who work with it on a regular basis. Miners, constructioners, brake jobbers, that kind of things.

Also, he thinks it is paper insulation.

So platformer-RPG Bloodstaind has a release date now.
The announcement trailer seems to have a message beyond "we have a release date.
And that message is "Stop telling us how bad the preview build looks, we KNOW the shaders weren't applied yet! We TOLD YOU THIS WHEN WE RELEASED THE PREVIEW BUILD!"

... Mozilla's reputation is the one place where Google can't beat them by just throwing money at the problem. I'm going to be very,

Except with their ad network, where they've been hyping Chrome for years.

Does anybody else remember Steve Ballmer saying Linux is a cancer? Granted, it was nearly twenty years ago, but... man, times sure do change.
He wasn't wrong.

"An important philosophy of Linux at Microsoft is that all changes go upstream. "
There you go. Microsoft's ultimate plan to destroy Linux is to do it FROM THE INSIDE.

In all seriousness, this looks like MS has decided that compatibility layers are a pain in the ass and it is easier to just ship an emulator instead. They should know, having had experience with Windows XP Mode.

Except with their ad network, where they've been hyping Chrome for years.

That's what I mean. Mozilla has the whole "wholly owned by a non-profit" thing which they hype. All Google's advertising dollars can't make that not true, or somehow make it true of Google too.

Google AdSense would like to remind you that Firefox development was moved to the for-profit Mozilla Corporation.

Actually, I've never really understood how a non-profit can 100% own a for-profit and still be non-profit. Does this just mean they have to spend all the profits before the end of the year?

No, like baby boomers. Who else would use the phrase "cybersecurity arsenal"?
Millenials. The baby boomers are retired.

while I do have an Hotmail account since forever, I haven't used that one in years, plus you can't use it with real mail clients unless if you pay, I guess.
I use my hotmale account with email clients without paying.

How... did you of all people not know Hotmail was still free?
They used to charge for POP and IMAP access, I believe. Only webmail was free.
