Posted by DonJon If you see somebody being toxic, let me know. It's better for toxic posters to be rehabilitated or ejected than filtered. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI. |

Posted by Kawa But sometimes there are posters that are not toxic or are harmful to the community, but whose opinions you strongly disagree to and you simply wish to not read them. Think more on it as "personal sanity" rather than active harassment, and hence why custom filtering is a good idea to have. When posters become actively poisonous, yeah, that's when proper moderation should kick in. Licensed Pirate® since 2006, 100% Buttcoin™-free, enemy of All Things JavaScript™ |

Fuck it, it's on the bottom of the user profile page now. You'll know someone posted, but you wont be able to actually see it. Like a deleted post. |

I have no idea where to even start with that 😸 Edit: okay so that was a lie in practice. You can click the icon on the left to go the first unread post, and if there's a whole other page after that it'll consider the last post on this page the one you last read. |

Stuff isn't getting marked read properly, but it's a good start. That's a minor inconvenience at worst; it's not hard to open all the unread stuff in new tabs and then mark entire board as read. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Screw_Yall |

Is there/can there be a button to move a post from one thread to another, or to a new thread? That'd help prevent topics from drifting too far. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI. |

It'd be lovely if people kept topics separate on their own, but the bboard has a long and storied history of rambling, and it's not going to change without some gentle enforcement. :/ The ending of the words is ALMSIVI. |

Maybe just have a general Forum Feedback/Suggestions topic for the first few months of the forums life? Edit: Or rename this topic, like it seemingly already has been. It must've broken somewhen. I'll give it a look. Edit: found the issue, a minor overlooking when replacing a deprecated feature in PHP. |

Feature request: a "Ignore thread" option, so the board never tells me there are new posts on whatever thread I want to ignore. Case in point: the Politics thread. It would work this way: open your undesired thread for the last time ever, click "Ignore", done. Board never applies the "new posts" status to it, posts to it do not get reflected into the Last Posts section, etc. Licensed Pirate® since 2006, 100% Buttcoin™-free, enemy of All Things JavaScript™ |
