Just watched the Titanfall 2 run, it's great even if you haven't played the game yourself. Stays entertaining the whole run through.

Uh, aren't you supposed to compile peformance-critical software with optimizations on?

The optimizer might not have been very effective yet, or might have had too many bugs. You don't have that problem on x86 because it has already been around for so long.

maybe firewall bypassing? but blackouts are pretty hard firewalls to poke thru.

Also, it takes away one of the biggest improvements made in the port from arcade to Super Nintendo. The arcade version was considered insanely and unfairly hard, even by people that think Gradius is not a misanthropic ball of hatred.

Just use an emulator that has a slowdown function...

Of course the overscan varied from TV to TV, depending on how it's calibrated.

The SNES does only 224 visible lines at most in NTSC mode.
